March SHENANIGANS

When I’m not painting, the rest of my life keeps me pretty busy. In between all of the appointments I take my parents to and the homeschooling, there were field trips, teaching and hair experiments.

I actually visited the St. Louis Art Museum twice! The first time, I brought my parents and Billy. It was also a very busy day as it was during their Art in Bloom event. Well, the parents didn’t last very long and I decided it would be best if we left. I did not get to see very much, so I knew I wanted to come back. The second time, I came by myself. I was able to take my time and stay as long as I wanted. It was very inspiring and fueled me to keep doing what I do.

Katelyn and I took a field trip with other homeschoolers to a local art studio that also has classes. We learned (or attempted to learn) how to throw pottery on a wheel. You can see how successful I was in this reel. HA!

Another field trip was at The Magic House in St. Louis. I highly recommend it if you have children and visit St. Louis.

We also visited The Treehouse Wildlife Center where they do amazing work with wildlife animals that have been injured or otherwise need care. The strive to release back into the wild when they can. If the can not be release back into the wild, they do their best to provide a home for them or find one for them.

I really miss my purple hair, but with everything going up in price, I decided to stop coloring my hair. Well, I kept seeing ads for Overtone coloring conditioner and decided to try it out. Sadly, I did not get an after photo, but I did like it. It did not last very long though. After about three washes, you can hardly see it.

March was great, but it was still very cold. Where I live we are just now starting to experience a little bit of spring, and I am so ready for it! This has been a long winter, and I am ready to enjoy more warm days out in the sun.
